No Matter Your Age, the EyeClops Night Vision Goggles Are Great

By Zachary Preston

Last year, I bought the Eyeclops bionic eye for my kids, and they thought it was pretty cool. When I first heard that EyeClops Night Vision Goggles were coming out, I was very excited, for myself AND for my kids!

I'm sure you remember growing up and thinking how cool it would be to sneak around in the dark and be invisible. I actually researched night vision equipment, but there wasn't any around when I was a kid - it was all military stuff. Furthermore, even if you could get your hands on night vision goggles, there were like $1,000 or more.

The craziest thing is that Jakks Eyeclops Night Vision Goggles are $80. Can you believe it? If I hadn't bought from Eyeclops before, I would think that they're junk, but since I was really happy with the previous toy from them, I went ahead and bought them.

Guess what - they work really well. I was shocked that I could put them on and see pretty far in the darkness. Yes, I did let my kids play with them, I know what you're thinking. By the way, my wife did tease me about the fact that it seems like I bought them for myself and not for her.

My kids decided one night to put on their night vision goggles and scare us in the bed after we thought they had gone to sleep. I guess they got me back for messing with them and using their toy when it's really theirs.

We haven't had any trouble with the goggles, but because the depth perception is a bit difficult when they're being used, I made sure to supervise my kids when they wanted to wear them outside.

On these goggles, there's 2 night vision modes - one is 100% stealth (no one can see you) and the other one gives you better night vision but throws off a faint infrared light from the goggles themselves, so you're not 100% invisible.

The EyeClops night vision goggles DO work very well, and for the price, they're amazing. When I tried them, I walked around our house in the darkness and could easily see my way around, so they DO work.

If you have kids (especially boys) and if you have any mischief in your heart, I think you'll really like these night vision goggles. They're definitely worth it, and you can see lots of stuff you've never seen before. I heartily recommend them as a Christmas 2008 gift (since we're close to Christmas).
