Learn More About Carousel Dinner Theatre

The Carousel Dinner Theater in Akron Ohio tells patrons to "expect the unexpected". People place prime importance on their leisure time. Dinner theater is always an enjoyable experience.

Like many dinner theaters Carousel claims to be the largest professional dinner theater in America. It might be or might not be, but it's one of the best. Carousel productions are put on by union members. That's not just because the like the unions. Using union talent helps to ensure a high quality show.

Born in a converted supermarket in 1973, Carousel moved to its current digs in 1988. People can go there for the traditional dinner and a show, or see the show while skipping the meal. More theater people from New York have flocked there recently. As a result show quality has improved.

Recently the theater world has been memorized by "Wicked". This is the back story of the witches from the Wizard of Oz. In 2008 Carousel presents the Wizard of Oz, the story that began it all. One of the big draws is the colorful Proscenium that shifts the sets around the stage. Many Broadway productions eventually find their way to the Carousel. "The Odd Couple" brought down the house in 2008. Others include Annie, Grease and even the Sound of Music. Here you can enjoy good food and Broadway without going to Broadway. In 2009 the theater hosts the very popular High School Musical.

Enjoy New York without the traffic at the Carousel Dinner Theater. It's a lot of fun.
