Dancing is my greatest passion. Perhaps that passion is larger than my dancing ability but if you have a dream driven by passion it is difficult to relent. DanceSteps-n-Dancing is a new forum for everyone with a love of dance. Here you may express your joy and share your every thought.
As a Dance Instructor my Mother's first love was dancing. She had her own dance school and also Instructed at a renowned School in Melbourne Australia. Melbourne is my birthplace. My mother wanted me to join her dance classes at an early age but I was reluctant to follow in her footsteps and I continually refused her efforts. My younger days of dancing were short lived for alas my mother died young seeing only the early days of my manhood.
As the years past by I again had thoughts of dancing and was tempted to test my dance floor ability. Perhaps my dancing was a little gangly at first but in time I managed to gain some style and posture. Is it possible that my childhood training by my kind mother was beginning to shine? I am sure it is and I would like my mother to somehow know.
Dancing appeals to our most primal instincts. Dance has been a part of culture for as long has man has walked the planet. It stimulates the senses - sight, sound and touch - it's great fun and it's good for our bodies and minds. There's something for every pair of dancing feet.
My passion for dance and dancing has created lots of new friendships. Some are like me and believe in dancing as being a way of life. Others have varied interests and the mix of friendships and desires is wonderful to have. In conversation there is always an opportunity to talk about your favorite passion and an even greater opportunity to be a great listener.
My website is not in memory of my mother. She is just there. Perhaps with a guiding hand. DanceSteps-N-Dancing with Dance moves too is a site for you to come and experience the dance thoughts of others. You may post about anything related to dance, tell about your dance steps and dance moves experience, or just tells us your thoughts and memories.
It has a commercial aspect too. Links to sites with free and paid DanceSteps-n-Dancing videos and a special guide on how to build a blog like this one for pleasure or income are scattered through the pages. Here you can preview the different dance styles and find one of your liking.
The performance aspect of dance has helped me to build healthy self-esteem and confidence, develops skills that help with other sports, not to mention the fun! And there's some evidence that dancing to music while you exercise stimulates mental functioning more than silent activities. Building your dance steps into a workout routine is a great way to learn. Just dance to the music you live.
