By Dan Wong

If you love good music chances are that you love AC/DC. They have been creating chart topping rock and roll since the seventies and they are still at it. Their latest CD hit the shelves in October and it is already in high demand. The group is touring to promote the album called 'Black Ice' Over the winter so you will finally get a chance to see these guys in action.

AC/DC was one of the pioneers of heavy metal although many consider them to be in the for front of rock and roll. The band was formed in 1973 in Sydney Australia. The band has had many members over the years but the group's founders, brothers Angus and Malcolm Young have been a constant. They have even replaced their lead singer, originally Bon Scott, after his death in 1980.

The band has produced 20 records in the last 35 years and most of them have been hugely successful. The group has struck a deal with Walmart so that their newest album will be sold exclusively through Walmart stores, Sam's Club (owned by Walmart), and acdc.com. So far the deal is a success because; 'Black Ice' sold more than 780,000 copies in the first week after its release.

As of October 28, 2008 the band is on tour promoting the release of the new album. Concert listings show that the tour got started at Wilkes-Barre and will cross the country playing 42 shows before ending in Nashville on January 31, 2009. On this tour the group will pass The Rolling Stones with how many live shows they have played. AC/DC will reach their 2000th concert on this tour.
