What's The Best Way To Learn Guitar

By Guy Taylor

Want to be a guitar legend? It's a long road but one of the most important steps is to find the best way to learn guitar in the first place. Each person differs from the next so it is good to know all of your options and that is the point of this article.

One way is guitar books. There are tons of these around and many are very popular. They are relatively cheap and affordable and many are very good. That said it does take a certain amount of patience using a book as it can take longer to pick up the things you are been told.

Learning to play the guitar by ear is another method of learning the guitar and it can be far more satisfying and enjoyable than any other way of learning guitar. There is no question that this method isn't for everyone but give it a go and you may surprise yourself.

Getting a tutor to give you private lessons is the dearest method but also the one which tends to get the best results. If you have plenty of time and the money then this is definitely the best way to learn guitar.

The final method of learning to play the guitar is to use videos. These are becoming a very popular way of learning as they feel more personal than books and they of course make it easy to explain things in a simple step by step method. The only thing they really lack is the feedback which can be gained from a personal teacher.

The conclusion is that the best way to learn guitar really boils down to the individual. If time and money don't come into it then a private teacher will most likely be the best method and if they aren't freely available then videos in most cases are the preferred method of the majority.
