Almost any idea could be used as a party theme, and it makes the party more enjoyable for the guests. It can take a bit of planning but there are popular themes that are easy to cater for.

One idea is a Chinese theme. You could ask your local Chinese food establishment to prepare the dishes for you. Guests can come dressed as Geishas or Samurais; you could have Chinese music playing in the background as well as fans, lights and paper lanterns. Your guests could even try using chopsticks to eat the delicious food. The night can be rounded off with a superb display of Chinese firecrackers.

A Jungle party always goes down well with the guests. There is an abundance of suppliers who can sell you items for this particular theme. The mood can be set by playing jungle music such as the Jungle Book. You can use palm trees and ferns to make the room look like a jungle; and inflatable bananas are always included. There are plenty of costume options for the guests to dress up in whether they want to be a gorilla, Tarzan or Jane.

An up and coming party theme is the murder mystery dinner. Guests can dress up in sophisticated clothes and enjoy an evening of mystery and intrigue. This theme can involve a lot of planning but there are plenty of ideas available to help you with your role-play plans. Some agencies even hire out actors to help out and this can make the party more intriguing.

Luau themed parties are always popular and enjoyed by the guests. The mood can be set by using palm trees, shells and sand to decorate the room. Costumes for the guests to wear can be as easy as Bermuda shorts or grass skirts and leis. You could serve tropical style drinks and fish whilst Hawaiian music can be playing in the background.

Not to be forgotten are the children who always enjoy a themed party. The most popular is princesses for girls and pirates for boys. There are lots of party suppliers who will have all the items you need to make sure that the children enjoy the party.
